Privacy policy of Vehicle Service Parts Planner
Short version: everything you enter stays on your phone. The app has no account, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no notifications and no internet access. We do not receive any of your data.
Who is responsible
This policy covers the Android app Vehicle Service Parts Planner (version 1.0.0) and this website vehicleservicepartsplanner.shop. Contact for all questions and requests: [email protected].
What the app processes
Only what you type in yourself:
- vehicles: name, description, year, engine, an optional registration number, odometer readings with dates, tags and notes;
- service intervals, the parts and fluids of each service (specification, quantity, expected price) and the services you mark as done;
- purchases: item, date, the shop name you type, quantity, price paid, whether it is in stock or used, tags and notes;
- your own templates and settings.
The app does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar or device identifiers, does not use an advertising ID and does not connect to the vehicle.
Where it is stored
In the app’s private storage on your phone. There is no server, no cloud copy and no sync. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes all data.
What leaves your phone
Nothing automatically: the app has no permission to use the internet. Data leaves the phone only when you decide to:
- share a shopping list as PDF or text through the Android share sheet (you choose the receiving app);
- save a PDF or a backup file into a folder you pick;
- share a backup file through the share sheet.
What happens to a shared file is then up to you and the app you shared it with. Tapping the e-mail address or a web link in the app opens your mail app or browser.
Third parties
No data is passed to third parties. The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking software. The libraries it is built with run on your phone only; fonts are bundled with the app.
Permissions
The app asks for no permissions. Backups are opened with the system document picker and exports use the share sheet or the system folder picker, which need no storage permission. There are no notifications: due services are shown inside the app.
Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays until you delete it: single entries in the app, everything under More → Data and backup → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app. Backup files you exported are under your control. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete; you can still write to us with any privacy question.
Children
The app is a maintenance tool for vehicle owners and is not directed at children.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no external fonts or scripts. The hosting server may record technical access data such as IP address, time and requested page in its logs to operate the site and keep it secure; these logs are not used to identify visitors.
Changes
If the app ever starts to process data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is published, with a new effective date.
